Red Liberty is an alternate history mod for Hearts of Iron IV, exploring a world in which the Socialist Party of America was victorious under the leadership of Eugene V. Debs, unseating the Republican Party in the political mainstream. Not all is well, however; the world stands at a precipice, with the Great War having ended in a stalemate, the Russian Civil War having stalled at the Urals, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire hanging on by a thread. Democratic Socialism has seen great successes, but it remains to be seen whether or not it will be enough to hold together a world on the brink of yet another catastrophic war.
